GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The Greenville-based organization Riley’s Army held their annual Santa Dash, and this year, Orthopedic East hosted the event.

The community gathered on Saturday morning, running the 5K “Santa dash” and a one mile walk to raise money and awareness for children with cancer.

Some say it isn’t there first 5K, and others say they don’t really like running, but they came for the cause.

“Any little bit that we can do, we try to do every opportunity that we have the chance,” says Heidi Johnson, who participated in the 5K.
