LEWISBURG, Pa. – For the fifth consecutive season, the Bucknell football program will team with Vs. Cancer to bring awareness to pediatric cancer and raise funds to support the cause.

The Bison raised over $28,000 in 2022 and, with the support of Bucknell fans, family and alumni, are aiming to surpass that record-total this year. The Sept. 23 game against Penn will serve as the team’s official Vs. Cancer Game, presented by Geisinger, during which the Bison will celebrate their 2023 efforts by honoring cancer survivors, holding a pregame check presentation, and partnering with Geisinger to host a wellness fair.

50 percent of the proceeds will fund family support and child life programs, while the other 50 percent will help fund pediatric brain tumor research. In 2018, Bucknell became the first collegiate football program at any level to team with Vs. Cancer.
