Students at Maurice W. Downing School in Malverne spread awareness last month to commemorate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
“Students adorned themselves in yellow and gold to recognize the month of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month,” the Malverne Union Free School District said in a statement on its website.
“The goal for students was to bring awareness to pediatric cancer and show their support in the fight against the disease,” the statement added.
